Filing the Certificate of Formation runs $50, set by Miss. Code Ann. ยง 79-29-1203(1)(d). It is a one-time fee paid inside the SOS online portal at corp.sos.ms.gov, where the filing appears as filing type F0100. There is no paper alternative and no separate mail-in price. Mississippi handles formation entirely online.
The Annual Report Fee: $0
Here is the part that surprises people: Mississippi requires an annual report from every domestic LLC, due April 15 each year, and charges nothing for it. Free does not mean optional. Miss the filing and the state can move toward administrative dissolution. Budget zero dollars but a few minutes of attention each spring. Foreign LLCs registered in Mississippi pay $250 for the same report.
